TL;DR: Across 10 client accounts and 13,700 leads, dmset.ai's AI DM setter got 6,178 leads to reply. It qualified 1,242 of them (20.1% of engaged leads), proposed a call to 815 (13.2%), and booked 247 calls (4.0%). 82% of those bookings were not cancelled. These are aggregate numbers from our production database, measured on October 8, 2026.
What Are Real AI DM Setter Results in 2026?
Real AI DM setter results, measured across 13,700 leads, are 20.1% of engaged leads qualified, 13.2% offered a call, and 4.0% booked on a call. Of every 100 leads who reply, about 4 end up on the calendar, and about 3 of those keep the booking.
dmset.ai is an AI DM setter that books high-ticket calls inside Instagram and Facebook Messenger DMs for coaches, mentors, course creators, and high-ticket service providers. This page gives you counts, rates, and the date we measured them, not a promise.

How Did We Measure These AI DM Setter Results?
We counted records in the dmset.ai production database on October 8, 2026. The sample covers every active client account and every lead created from November 13, 2025 onward. Deleted leads are excluded. We did not pick accounts or filter by outcome.
Here is the exact scope:
- 10 client accounts, all active on the measurement date.
- 13,700 leads created from November 13, 2025 to October 8, 2026.
- Deleted leads removed from every count.
- One snapshot, taken on a single day. Counts will move as conversations continue.
The accounts are a mix of niches. Offers, price points, and DM volume differ across them. We did not weight any account, so the numbers below are plain totals, not averages of averages.
What Do Engaged, Qualified, Proposed, and Booked Mean?
Each term marks one step in a DM conversation. Engaged means the lead replied at least once. Qualified means the AI judged the lead a fit for the offer. Proposed means the AI offered a call. Booked means the lead picked a time on the calendar.
- Lead: a person who entered the DM funnel, usually after a comment keyword, a story reply, or a lead magnet.
- Engaged: a lead who replied at least once. Leads who never answered the first message are not engaged.
- Qualified: a lead the AI marked as a fit after asking its qualifying questions in the conversation.
- Proposed: a lead who was offered a call.
- Booked: a lead who scheduled a call.
- Not cancelled: a booking that was still on the calendar at the time we measured.
- Closed: a deal a client recorded as won in the system.
What Is the Full AI DM Setter Funnel, Stage by Stage?
The funnel runs from 13,700 leads down to 203 bookings that were not cancelled. The table gives each count and two rates: the share of engaged leads, and the share of qualified leads.
| Stage | Count | % of engaged leads | % of qualified leads |
|---|---|---|---|
| Leads created | 13,700 | Not applicable | Not applicable |
| Engaged (replied at least once) | 6,178 | 100% | Not applicable |
| Qualified by the AI | 1,242 | 20.1% | 100% |
| Call proposed | 815 | 13.2% | 65.6% |
| Call booked | 247 | 4.0% | 19.9% |
| Booking not cancelled | 203 | 3.3% | 16.3% |
| Closed deals recorded by clients | 40 | Not applicable | Not applicable |
Two more rates come straight from the table. 45.1% of all leads engaged (6,178 of 13,700). 1.8% of all leads booked a call (247 of 13,700).
How Many Engaged Leads Does the AI Qualify?
The AI qualified 1,242 of 6,178 engaged leads, which is 20.1%. About one in five leads who reply is a real fit for the offer. The rest are curious, early, or not a match.
That filter is the point. Without that filter, unfit leads can reach your calendar and use up call slots. The AI asks its qualifying questions first, and only fits move forward. For more on the mechanics, see our guide to how an AI DM setter works.
How Many Qualified Leads Get a Call Proposed and Book?
Of 1,242 qualified leads, 815 were offered a call (65.6%) and 247 booked (19.9%). So about two in three qualified leads hear the call offer, and about one in five books a time.
Some qualified leads never get the offer. A lead may stop replying right after qualifying. A lead may qualify late in a thread and go quiet. A lead may need a follow-up before the call makes sense. These are real drop-offs, and they happen in every DM funnel.
The step from proposed to booked is where friction lives: picking a time, opening the calendar link, and confirming. Clean booking steps and fast follow-up matter here. Our post on booking calls from Instagram DMs covers that step in detail.
How Many Booked Calls Get Cancelled?
Of 247 booked calls, 203 were not cancelled, which is 82%. That means 44 bookings (18%) were cancelled before we measured. The remaining 203 stayed on the calendar.
This number is not a show rate. A booking that was not cancelled can still be a no-show. We do not have an attendance count across all accounts, so we do not publish one. For ways to track that gap yourself, read about DM setter KPIs.
What Do These Numbers Mean for Your DMs?
You can apply these rates to your own DM volume to get a rough picture. Treat the math below as an illustration only. Your offer, audience, and message volume will move every number.
Say 1,000 new leads enter your DM funnel. Using the aggregate rates above:
- About 451 reply (45.1% of leads engage).
- About 91 are qualified (20.1% of 451).
- About 60 get a call proposed (13.2% of 451).
- About 18 book a call (4.0% of 451).
- About 15 of those bookings stay on the calendar (82% of 18).
Now run it with your own numbers. Multiply your monthly new leads by 0.451 to estimate replies. Multiply replies by 0.04 to estimate booked calls. Then multiply by your own show rate and close rate, which you know better than we do.
The useful part is the shape. The biggest drop is from engaged to qualified, so lead fit matters more than raw message volume. A higher-fit audience lifts every step after it.
What Do These Numbers Not Show?
These numbers do not show revenue, show rate, or a true close rate. They show conversation outcomes inside DMs. We want you to read them with those limits in mind.
- No revenue figures. We did not measure cash collected.
- Closed deals are a floor. The 40 closed deals are only what clients logged in the system. Clients may log closes late or not at all, so the real count may be higher. We do not publish a close rate for this reason.
- One mix of niches. The data is aggregate across all accounts. Results vary by offer, price point, audience, and DM volume. One account's rate may sit far above or below the totals.
- Time matters. Leads from the last few weeks have not finished their conversations. Later snapshots will differ.
We will update this page when we re-measure.
Conclusion
The measured results are simple. Of 13,700 leads, 6,178 replied, 1,242 qualified, 815 were offered a call, and 247 booked. 203 of those bookings were not cancelled. Four of every 100 engaged leads end up on a call.
If you run 50 or more DMs a week, those rates apply to you in shape, if not in exact size. Want to see how the same system would run on your offer? Book a demo and we will map your funnel against these numbers.
